Here’s a stat for the many who doubted that mainstream fans would ever want to watch a concert live on their computer or phone: YouTube’s live stream of Coachella’s first weekend logged 82 million live views – an increase of 90% compared to 2018.
YouTube is also expanding its live music festival streaming with a new two-year partnership with Lollapalooza. In addition to a curated live stream over the four-day festival, fans will get additional custom content featuring artists performing at the festival.
From DIY concert streaming like Amy Speace’s Concerts From The Closet to YouTube, LiveXLive and AXS TV, live concert streaming has finally come of age.
FYI Amy Speace kicks off the next round of Concerts from the Closet tonight at 7:30pm CST, this time with the lovely Megan Palmer. They’ll be sharing new songs, talking about life in the music business, all from a walk in closet. Tune In: concertwindow.com/amyspeace
