Anymore is taken from Goldfrapp’s brand new seventh studio album ‘Silver Eye’, released 31st March 2017 on Mute.

Goldfrapp are an English electronic duo from London, formed in 1999.[1] The duo consists of Alison Goldfrapp (vocals, synthesizer) and Will Gregory (synthesizer).

Despite favourable reviews and a short-listing for the Mercury Prize,[2][3] their 2000 début studio album Felt Mountain[4][5] did not chart highly.[6] Goldfrapp’s second album Black Cherry, which incorporated glam rock and synthpop sounds into their music, was released in 2003.[7] The album influenced the same dance-oriented sound of their third album Supernature.[2] Supernature took Goldfrapp’s work further into dance music, and enjoyed international chart success.[6][8] The album produced three number-one US dance singles,[8] and was nominated for Best Electronic/Dance Album at the 49th Grammy Awards.[9]

Their fourth album Seventh Tree placed a greater emphasis on ambient and downtempo music,[10] drawing inspiration from nature and paganism,[11] while their fifth album, Head First, found the group exploring 1980s-influenced synthpop.[12] Head First also earned the duo their second Grammy Award nomination for Best Electronic/Dance Album in 2010.[13] Goldfrapp released their critically acclaimed sixth studio album, the folktronica-influenced Tales of Us, in September 2013.

In July 2015, Alison Goldfrapp announced on Twitter that the group had returned to the studio to work on music for the forthcoming seventh album, but as far as a release date she could only state it would be “sometime in 2017”. in December 2016 Goldfrapp posted on their Instagram page the covers of their first six studio albums. On 23 December 2016 Goldfrapp posted an image of two topless figures holding each others heads with bleached blonde hair covering their faces, and something black (oil?) slicked across their forearms, with the hashtag #goldfrapp7. The social media upload is hinting that it is the artwork for the duo’s upcoming seventh studio album.[54] The title of the album was confirmed as Silver Eye. The first track to be played from the album, titled “Anymore”, is to be premiered on Lauren Laverne‘s BBC 6 Music show on 23 January 2017
