The SXSW PanelPicker is officially open to accept proposals. The two-step online process gives attendees a voice in conference programming including presentations, panels and at SXSW. Competition is fierce with 6100 proposals submitted in 2018.
The 2020 SXSW Conference & Festivals will run from March 13-22, 2020 in Austin, Texas.
“PanelPicker connects us with the thousands of creative professionals, experienced experts and informed consumers that make up the global SXSW community. This interface helps us identify the most compelling new ideas within the many different industries we serve and, in so doing, keeps SXSW exciting, timely, and relevant,” said Hugh Forrest, SXSW Chief Programming Officer.
PanelPicker Step 1: Entries (July 1-July 19): SXSW accepts proposals for conference sessions at all SXSW events.
PanelPicker Step 2: Voting (August 5-23): The voting period allows the community to browse proposals, leave comments, and vote for sessions they think would be a good fit for the 2020 event.
