Riley Green had plenty to celebrate this Fourth of July weekend with a big sold-out show at Nashville’s Ascend Amphitheater on Sunday night (July 3).
During the show he was presented with a plaque on stage to commemorate his single, “If It Wasn’t For Trucks” officially racking up more than 500,000 in sales/streaming and being certified Gold. Big Machine Label Group President/CEO Scott Borchetta and BMLG Records President/CEO Jimmy Harnen presented Green with the honor to mark the milestone.
During his show Sunday night Green welcomed a thunderous crowd singing along to his hits, including the No. 1 single “There Was This Girl,” the career propelling “I Wish Grandpas Never Died,” plus fan favorites “Different ‘Round Here” and “Georgia Time.” He also invited Jelly Roll on stage for a performance of the Hank Williams Jr. classic “Family Tradition,” and Sammy Kershaw for “Yard Sale.”
Along with current single “Half Of Me” with Thomas Rhett, Green continues to deliver tracks directly to his loyal fans, including “Hell Of A Way To Go,” “Miles On Main” and “I Hope She’s Drinking Tonight.”
