Warner Music has named Mark Fry to the newly created post of vice president, Warner Music Nordics. Fry will also continue to serve as managing director of Warner Music Finland and operate out of the company’s Helsinki office.
• Ingrooves announced the appointment of Jen Bontusa as Vice President of Label & Artist Partnerships. Bontusa will open the distributor and label service company’s first Nashville office. She joins from a post as VP of Brand Strategy Centric Entertainment, overseeing the development of artist making campaigns.
• Merck Mercuriadis’ Hipgnosis Songs has raised another $62.3 million, taking its total to almost $488 million since its initial listing on the London Stock Exchange in July of 2018. The funds were raised principally from existing shareholders.
• PR firm WildKat has expanded into the United States with new hires and new offices in New York and Los Angeles. Liza Prijatel Thors has been hired as Senior PR Executive to oversee the company’s new Los Angeles office and Tim McKeough has been tapped as PR Director with oversight of WildKat’s new New York office. Wildkat’s expansion into the US follows a substantial investment from Edition Capital, a private equity investor focused on the logistics and media industries. The new offices are the first North American expansion for WildKat, which previously maintained offices in London, Paris, and Berlin.
• Sentric has promoted Simon Pursehouse from Director of Music Services to Global Director of Music Services. New hires include Ashley Smith, who joins as Finance Manager and Luke Montague is the new Royalty Manager.
