The Orchard has named Jay Andino Vice President of the company’s newly established Urban Division. He joins from 300 Entertainment where he was Director of National Urban and Rhythm Promotions under Lyor Cohen and Kevin Liles.
• After departing lip-sync app Musical.ly a few months ago after its acquisition by Chinese internet giant Bytedance, digital exec Alex Hofmann has joined mobile startup Emoticast as a lead adviser.
• Downtown Music Publishing has appointed Bruce Lampcov as Head of West Coast Business Development. Based in the company’s LA, Lampcov will be responsible for expanding Downtown’s roster of artist and songwriter catalogs, media companies, and film composers. Lampcov was Executive Vice President at Fintage House.
• LiveXLive Media, Inc. (NASDAQ: LIVX) has appointed Michael Zemetra as its chief financial officer. Zemetra will succeed Jerry Gold, who guided LiveXLive through its listing to NASDAQ, the acquisition of Slacker Radio and a major capital raise. Gold has been appointed chief strategy officer and has joined LiveXLive’s Board of Directors.
