Daniel Lieberberg has been named President, C ontinental Europe and Africa, Sony Music Entertainment. Previously, Lieberberg was at Universal Music Germany where since 2014 he oversaw the company’s domestic business in Berlin, including the Vertigo/Capitol & Polydor/Island labels.

• BandLab, the social music platform, launched “Looper”, a free mobile feature that allows users to create beats on the go as part of BandLab’s cloud based Digital Audio Workstation (DAW).
• Allihoopa, the collaborative music making service, announced two new partnerships with top music-making apps Triqtraq and DM2. Allihoopa users can now compose original beats in Triqtraq’s smooth one-window interface and use DM2, the powerful Synthesis Drum Machine, available on iPad.
