After the success of our first student mixer, we are delighted to announce that the next one will be even better, taking place at DJ Mag’s London headquarters, Work Bar. Best of all, music on the night will be provided by you! We’re looking for a wide variety of styles or genres we’re welcoming mix submissions from everyone whether you’re honing a slick Tech House set, want to slam out some trance and hardstyle or have decided you want to switch it up with some beatless experimental tracks. This is a free event for Point Blank Students and Alumni, with all the sets being live streamed on the night. You are even welcome to bring your friends! The event is held at DJ Mag’s fully equipped London home, Work Bar, at 3 Chapel Market, London, N1 9EZ.
We’re looking for submissions from students who would like to play, and as stated they can be in ANY GENRE. If you’d like to be considered for the lineup, you can submit a mix which showcases your tracks selection and mixing skills in a 30-45 minute long mix (preferably share a Private or Public Soundcloud Link). please email Student Social Rep Bas de Vries at basdevries@t-online.de.
All Mixes have to be submitted by Friday, November 2nd, 2018. The lineup will be announced on Monday, November 5th.
Please note that students only will be considered to play. If you’re not a student with us why not check out our range of DJ courses and learn how we can give you all the skills you need to be playing out at fantastic venues like Work Bar. These include our BA (Hons) in Music Production and DJ Practice which will not only teach you everything you need to know about the technical aspects of DJing but will give you the tools you need to make your own tracks, perform live and get ahead in the music industry.
