Maná has been named Person of the Year honor by the Latin Recording Academy on the eve of the Latin Grammys.
(It’s a group, so it should probably be Persons of the Year, but since when has the Recording Academy ever really made sense?)
The Mexican rock superstars have won six Latin Grammys and four Grammy Awards.
They will be honored for their achievements and contributions to the Latin community and support of the preservation and protection of the environment and human rights, according to the Associated Press.
Maná will be honored at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas Nov. 14. The ceremony is expected to include Latin stars performing Maná’s hits.
