Some apologies are just better left unsaid. Lauryn Hill wrote an open letter on Facebook after arriving over 2 hours late to a show in Atlanta. She then followed her late arrival with a concert of less than 40 minutes.

“I don’t show up late to shows because I don’t care. And I have nothing but Love and respect for my fans,” Lauryn Hill wrote to her fans on Facebook after being 2 hours late and performing for just 40 minutes. “The challenge is aligning my energy with the time, taking something that isn’t easily classified or contained, and trying to make it available for others. I don’t have an on/off switch I am at my best when I am open, rested, sensitive and liberated to express myself as truthfully as possible.”
Ms. Hill also added that she will make the show up to any fans who were upset.
The concert was held at Atlanta’s Chastain Park Amphitheatre, which has an 11 p.m. noise curfew. In one video filmed by a fan, obtained by CBS, Hill is heard blaming her driver for getting lost for the tardiness.
