If you ever doubted the staying power of music – even (usually) bad music – read this: SiriusXM and Live Nation are launching the Hair Nation Festival, a new music festival focusing on, unsurprisingly, hair metal.

SiriusXM is teaming up with Live Nation to launch the SiriusXM Hair Nation Festival, a new one-day music festival focusing on, hair metal. Hosted by SiriusXM radio personality Eddie Trunk, the festival will take place at Irvine Meadows Amphitheatre on September 17th.
The event’s lineup features headliners g Vince Neil, Bret Michaels, Yngwie Malmsteen, Kix, and Slaughter, as well as Lita Ford, Vixen, Britny Fox, BulletBoys, Faster Pussycat, LA Guns’ Phil Lewis and Tracii Guns, Loudness, Junkyard, Vain, Tuff, Bang Tango, Pretty Boy Floyd, Decline of the Western Civilization Part II heroes Odin, Gabbie Rae, and Circus of Power.
The festival will also feature performances will be two unsigned victors of SiriusXM’s Hair Nation Festival Battle of the Bands. Said battle will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 17 on the Sunset Strip in Hollywood, Calif. at the Whisky A Go-Go, with the winner serving as the opening act for the festival’s main stage.
