Indie label Mom + Pop Music announced the promotion of David Jacobs to West Coast General Manager. Jacobs joined Mom + Pop from Atlantic Records, where he oversaw the label’s alternative projects, bringing him into contact with Mom + Pop team, a relationship that was eventually formalized with a role as VP of Radio Promotion at the indie label.
He will retain that role after his promotion, Mom + Pop said.
“David has been an integral and influential part of Mom+Pop’s growth over the past 3 years. While he’s been impactful breaking the likes of Alice Merton and Flume at radio, now as our West Coast GM, he’ll be involved in all things M+P and our overall efforts in Los Angeles,” Mom + Pop founder and co-owner Michael Goldstone said.
A graduate of USC Marshall School of Business with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Jacobs has stints at Rocket Science, Fearless Records and Epic Records under his belt. After a successful year at Epic, he signed with Atlantic, to oversee a majority of the label’s alternative music. He joined Mom + Pop in 2015.
“I am thrilled to expand my role at Mom+Pop and help the label plant roots on the West Coast. I cannot thank Goldie and Thaddeus enough for this opportunity, and I’m so excited to see what new heights this great team can take Mom + Pop to in the coming years.” Jacobs said.
