Gregg Nadel To Head Elektra Records

image from www.celebrityaccess.comVeteran label executive Gregg Nadel has been named as President of Atlantic Record Group’s Elektra Records. Nadel, who has been General Manager of Elektra for the past two years, is a twenty-year veteran of the Atlantic records team and most recently served as General Manager of Elektra, stepping in after the departure of Jeff Castelaz.

Nadel joined Atlantic straight out of college in 1997. Moving up the A&R ranks, he went on to sign such artists as Zac Brown Band, Sturgill Simpson, and the Icelandic band Kaleo, among others. He’s also led campaigns for artists such as Ed Sheeran, Coldplay and Vance Joy, as well as helping to strike a partnership between Elektra and producer Dave Cobb’s Low Country Sound label in 2015.

Nadel will continue to be based at Atlantic’s headquarters in New York City.

Elektra, which was merged into Atlantic following the 2004 sale of WMG by Time Warner, relaunched in 2009.
