Australia and LA-based indie label, management, and artist services company Future Classic has launched Wilder, a joint venture record label with veteran Paradigm agent Tom Windish.
Windish, who is known for his ability to “discover” talent early in their career, says that the new label will be singles focused and serve as a platform for up-and-coming artists. First up is the re-release of ”Applesauce” the debut track from 19-year old Indiana-based singer and producer Sam.Sts.
Windish tells Variety:
“Wilder is a means to get music released, promoted and discovered by as many people as possible. Quite simply, we’re willing to promote and release music before anybody else is.
I’ve known Nathan and the Future Classic crew for a long time. They have outstanding curation, creativity and work ethic. I cannot emphasize their long term approach to artist development enough, and for that reason, I could not think of a better label partner.”
New Artist Residency Program
Future Classic, is also running an LA residency program until December. The residency recently saw Sam. Sts spend two weeks at Future Classic’s Dropbox funded studio complex, where he collaborated with producers and artists such as Lex Stacy, Naz and Noah Breakfast.
For artists accepted into the residency, Future Classic covers studio time, a travel budget and accommodations along with introductions to industry mentors. To apply for the residency go to residency.futureclassic.com
