The latest executive shuffles across the music industry…
Universal Music Group has hired Jonathan Dworkin as Senior Vice President of Digital Strategy and Business Development. Dworkin comes from MixRadio where he worked as Chief Marketing Officer. Dworkin’s new role with UMG will commence May 16th and he will be responsible for developing digital strategy, cultivating key partnerships and global business development. Dworkin will be based in Santa Monica, Los Angeles and will report to Michael Nash, Executive Vice President of Digital Strategy.

7digital has hired Philippe Decottignies as Chief Technology Officer. Decottignies comes from Snowite, where he served as CTO for 5 years. In his new role, he will be responsible for the company’s global technology operations, and his time will be divided between the London, Paris and Lille offices.
Nielsen Entertainment has hired Paul Shaver as Head of Nielsen Music Canada. Shaver brings 20 years worth of experience in the music industry and prior to joining Nielsen he had leadership roles with HMV Canada, Virgin Music Canada and EMI. In his new role Shaver will be responsible for overseeing all commercial operations surrounding the measurement and insights of music for Nielsen in the Canadian Market.
