Former Maker, MySpace Music and MTV executive Courtney Holt is finally moving his career past the letter “M” to head revamped video efforts at Spotify. The news comes on the same day the music steamer announced bundled discounts with video streamer Hulu.

Courtney Holt has been hired as Head Of Spotify Studios & Video. The former Maker, MySpace Music and MTV executive replaces ex-VH1 Tom Calderone, who left the music streamer last week.
Spotify has confirmed that it is refocusing its video and podcasting efforts to complement existing music content. Spotify recently launched video accompaniments to its popular playlists “Rap Caviar” and “Rock This.” This move mirrors Apple Music’s video content strategy.
Today Spotify also announced that it is partnering with Hulu to offer premium music and video streaming services bundled at a discount price. College students will be the first to save, but the music streamer says it will expand bundles with Hulu to the broader consumer market.
