Customer service at concerts? You’d be forgiven if you didn’t see the two as exactly going hand and hand. But concert hall and arena management firm SMG is trying to change that by encouraging kindness.

Facility management company SMG is doing their part to encourage kindness and human decency in the face of an increasingly gloomy world by staging a Gift of Kindness contest.
The contest, approved by SMG’s President, Wes Westley and the members of his management team in January and launched in March as part of the company’s 40th anniversary festivities, is intended to recognize employees who demonstrate kindness in their work life or their personal life.
Employee submissions will be accepted throughout the year, with a winner announced each quarter and an overall winner announced in December 2017. Each winner will receive cash prizes and special limited edition Waterford Crystal “2017 The Gift of Kindness” signature ornaments.
“We want to celebrate the kind of character that has set SMG apart for our first 40 years and will continue to drive our success in the future,” said Maureen Ginty, Executive Vice President, SMG.
