• Booking agency EastCoast Entertainment has named longtime agent Mark Letson a partner with the agency. Letson is the ninth partner to join the EastCoast board. Letson heads the agency’s National Talent Buying Division.
• Event crowdsourcing platform stagelink.com has appointed some music industry vets to its advisory board. Chairman Frank Taubert, founder and former CEO of 24-7 Entertainment (acquired by Media Saturn) is joined by Thomas Hesse, former President of Sony Music Entertainment in, and Gerd Gebhardt, former President of Warner Music Central Europe.
• SACEM (France’s Society of Authors, Composers and Publishers of Music), Universal Music Publishing International (UMPI) and SoundCloud, have reached an agreement to bring SACEM’S repertoire, and UMPI’s Anglo-American repertoire to SoundCloud. The new agreement covers 33 territories, and brings SACEM’s members and UMPI’s Anglo-American catalogue to SoundCloud’s ad-supported platform, as well as its new consumer subscription service – SoundCloud Go.
• Country legend Garth Brooks has signed an an exclusive global representation deal with William Morris Endeavor.
• Athens, GA-based boutique booking agency Nimbleslick Entertainment announced that they are expanding their operations with a new office in Colorado. It will be overseen by recently promoted partner and agent David Limentani, as well, agent James Servin and his client roster, including Greener Grounds, Hog MaGundy, and Liver Down The River has joined the agency.
