Los Angeles-based music services agency Beat House has signed a joint venture and worldwide co-publishing deal with Pulse Music Group. Launched earlier this year, Beat House was founded by music industry executive Tiffany Kumar who previously served as Global Head of Songwriter Relations at Spotify.
During her tenure with the streaming giant, Kumar launched the Secret Genius brand through which she orchestrated and oversaw award shows, global songwriting camps, and the opening of four recording studios.
Beat House currently spans publishing, label services, A&R and television, as well as social justice initiatives. The agency recently worked with the national organization Alliance for Safety and Justice to partner artists like G-Eazy and Ty Dolla $ign with their #TimeDone campaign, which raises awareness around the legal barriers faced by people living with criminal convictions.
Commenting on the JV, Josh Abraham, co-CEO, Pulse Music Group, said: “Tiffany is incredibly talented – she is a magnet for great talent and wherever she goes good music will follow. I speak for the entire Pulse Music Group team in saying we are thrilled to partner with Tiffany in this next phase of her career and we look forward to big things on the horizon with Beat House.”
Kumar added: “With this joint venture I am humbled to be among the people carving the pathway for women in leadership within the publishing industry. Beat House and Pulse share a vision to go beyond traditional A&R and increase the brand power of songwriters and producers. I look forward to what we will build together.”
