Azealia Banks send a half-hearted apology over racist Twitter Posts.
Azealia Bank’s Twitter account has been suspended following her outrageous racists tweets to Zayn Malik.
In a series of tweets which are now deleted, Banks wrote…
”Big apologies to anyone who was offended by any of the things I said. Not sorry I said it. But sorry for the way I made people feel.”
”Everyone except the targets of my tirades.”
”Not using my blackness or my NYC persona to excuse anything. I am Azealia Banks and I am who I am.”
”Again, I say what I mean and I mean what I say. Not apologising for my words WHATSOEVER, apologising for the way people feel.”
”Because it’s not nice to make people feel bad. But as an individual I have the creative freedom to say whatever the f**k I want. ”
”Remember that offence is never given, it is only taken. I apologise to everyone who TOOK offence.”
If you’re wondering what Banks has said to Zayn Malik and somehow missed the shocking news,
This is what happened…
Banks sent Zayn Malik a series of tweets referring to him as a ‘hairy curry scented bi***’ and said that she would start calling him a ‘punjab…dirty bi***’.
Banks also referred to Malik as ‘the only paki in the group’, called him a ‘token brown boy’, and said that his ‘mother is a dirty refugee who won’t be granted asylum.’
If you thought that was bad, Banks also tweeted the following…
”When your entire extended family has been obliterated by good ol’ the U.S of A will you still be trying to… Act like a white boy pretending to be black?”
”Do you understand that you are a sand nig*** who emulates white boys’ renditions of black male hood?”
Banks is known for her controversial bold comments that she makes, and her ‘i don’t give a f*** attitude.
But, this was a step too far for the singer, and has already resulted in cancelled festival performances and a suspended twitter account. I’m positive she’s also lost some fans along with her credibility as an artist.
