ASCAP has released the results of its biennial election for the Board of Directors and named the twelve writer and twelve publisher members elected to serve on the Board for a two-year term beginning April 1st, 2019.
In addition to ASCAP President and Board Chairman Paul Williams, the writer members who were re-elected in the at-large field are: composer Joel Beckerman; composer Richard Bellis; composer Bruce Broughton; songwriter/producer Desmond Child; composer Dan Foliart; songwriter/composer Michelle Lewis; composer/producer Marcus Miller; songwriter/producer Rudy Perez; songwriter Jimmy Webb; and composer Doug Wood. Composer Alex Shapiro was re-elected in the Symphonic and Concert field.
The publisher directors re-elected in the at-large field are: Caroline Bienstock, Bienstock Publishing Co.; Peter Brodsky, Sony/ATV Music Publishing; Barry Coburn, Ten Ten Music Group; Keith Hauprich, BMG US; Laurent Hubert, Kobalt; Dean Kay, Lichelle Music Company; Evan Lamberg, Universal Music Publishing Group; Leeds Levy, Leeds Music; Carianne Marshall, Warner/Chappell Music; Mary Megan Peer, peermusic; and Irwin Z. Robinson, Cromwell Music, Inc. Elected in the Symphonic and Concert field is publisher James M. Kendrick, Schott Music/ European American Music Distributors Company.
