Move over Nicki Minaj, Ariana Grande just broke the Spotify debut week streaming record for a female artist only five days after the release of ‘Sweetener’. Grande’s new album had more than 109 million global Spotify streams, according to Chart Data.

The previous top female streamer was Cardi B’s Invasion for Privacy with 102 million global debut week Spotify streams, earlier this year. Taylor Swift, who likely could have topped both artists withheld her last album from Spotify for several days, as did superstar Adele.
The singer is also on track to debut at #1 on the Billboard album chart this week with between 200,000 and 225,000 equivalent units, according
to Hits Daily Double.
