After the launch of Songs & Daughters in 2019, the all-female record label and publishing house has announced the addition of its first full-time staffer, adding Bethany Mako as Creative Manager.
Mako joins the company after five years with Warner Chappell Music Publishing where she worked in A&R. Prior to her time there, the Belmont graduate worked internships at Warner Chappell and BMG. The Ohio native will support the Songs & Daughters roster, which includes flagship singer-songwriter Madison Kozak, as well as Hailey Whitters, Tiera Kennedy and Lauren Watkins.
“I was lucky enough to meet Bethany through my publisher, Warner Chappell, and it feels so natural for her to grow with me into my own publishing and label venture,” says founder Nicolle Galyon. “Excited to have her as a teammate at Songs & Daughters!”
“Joining the Songs & Daughters team is truly a dream come true,” Mako shares. “I have looked up to Nicolle since I first moved to Nashville almost 8 years ago, and I have always admired her work ethic and passion for what she does. What she has built and continues to build at Songs & Daughters is pure magic, and I am honored to be a part of it.”
