Grammy-winning country duo Dan + Shay have cancelled their upcoming arena shows at Orlando, Florida’s Amway Center (Nov. 4) and Atlanta, Georgia’s State Farm Arena (Nov. 5) due to a rogue case of COVID-19 within their touring crew.
As a result of routing conflicts and previously confirmed 2022 dates, the cancelled shows are not able to be re-booked for a later date. Refunds will be available at point of purchase.
“A member of our immediate touring party has tested positive for COVID-19 and to protect the safety of our fans and everyone around us, we will sadly have to cancel the upcoming dates,” the pair share on social media. “We know a lot of y’all have traveled or plan to travel for these shows, and it breaks our hearts to let you down.”
They continue: “Thanks to the folks who were planning to attend the shows this week for understanding. We’ve been looking forward to them (for literally 2 years now), but promise we’ll make it up to you in a big way soon.”

Like most tours, the “Dan + Shay The (Arena) Tour” has overcome multiple setbacks since its launch in March of 2020. Only days after its opening night at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena, the tour was forced to a halt due to the emerging COVID-19 pandemic. However, the revamped 2021 installment of the tour kicked off on Sept. 9 in South Carolina, and will wrap at Boston’s TD Garden on Dec. 7.
To offset the bad news, Dan + Shay also shared that they have big things in store this holiday season, the first of which will be unveiled on Wednesday morning (Nov. 3). The multi-Platinum selling artists will also join Kenny Chesney on his “Here And Now 2022” Tour, along with Old Dominion and Carly Pearce.
