Last month, we partnered with independent UK music therapy charity Nordoff Robbins to unleash a Bedroom2Dancefloor competition, with the aim of seeking out the best bedroom DJs in the UK. The rules of the competition were simple: record and send over a 20-30 minute mix to be judged by a panel of industry experts including us (Point Blank), Native Instruments, DJ Mag, Radio 6 and more, before a public vote decides the winner. Please note, as a bonus for all of you who partake in the public vote, winning a weekend break for two is up for grabs – so make sure to get your choice locked in.
Mixes for the competition were submitted in hordes, with track selections ranging from house and techno to EDM, hip-hop and more. Now we are excited to reveal the final five. It is now up to you to decide who should win the epic prize bundle of a two-night stay at Hard Rock Hotel London, a Native Instruments S4 DJ controller, a Point Blank Online course worth over £1,000 and more. The competition closes on 26 May, with the winner announced on 29 May, so get listening and voting! If you’re a bedroom DJ who’d like to break into the mainstream, we can help with our award-winning line of DJ courses.
