Tupac fans, the wait is nearly over…
Today, is what would have been Tupac’s 45th birthday. To celebrate, a trailer for the long-awaited All Eyez on Me bioptic has aired.
Hip Hop lovers have had the pleasure of watching Biggie’s Notorious, and NWA’s Straight Outta Compton. But, Tupac fans have had to wait a seriously long time for this movie. Though, the wait will soon be over. Production is still underway, but reports suggest that the movie will be released in November this year.
In a recent Instagram post, The Game doesn’t hold back on his comparisons of All Eyez on Me to Notorious.
“Tupac movie is the real deal, shit make that Biggie movie look like a cartoon.”
The movie will showcase Shakur’s early upbringing right through to his adult life. It will also touch on his experiences in the Hip Hop scene and life in Hollywood. There will also be a strong focus on his relationship with his mother and the connection that he had with the Black Panther party.
Demetrius Shipp Jr plays the lead role as Tupac, and other members of the cast include, Danai Gurira who plays Tupac’s mother – Afeni Shakur, Stefon Washington who plays Puff Daddy, and Jamal Woolard who plays Notorious B.I.G.
The trailer is definitely teasing fans, and has already got people talking on social media about the official release.
