Independent publisher Concord Music is signing a deal with European licensing organization ICE for representation of Concord’s digital rights.
As a result of the agreement, first reported by MusicWeek, Concord will pull its rights from PRS For Music’s independent publishers online licensing organization IMPEL.
News of the new licensing deal comes less than a year after US-based Concord moved into European markets with the purchase of European indie publisher Imagem Music Group.
IMPEL, which is currently a component of the MPA Group Of Companies, is currently undergoing restructuring under the guidance of CEO Jane Dyball, including the development of new leadership team, MusicWeek reported.
“That group of publishers always wanted to be fully independent, and have their own entity,” Dyball told Music Week.
