But do his new Margaritaville Retirement homes go too far; or is Buffet smart to admit that his brand will die with him?  You decide:

In case you haven’t had enough of the Cheeseburger in Paradise lifestyle yet, you will soon be able to retire to Jimmy Buffett’s new Margaritaville-branded retirement home.

Latitude Margaritaville — named after Buffett’s best-known song, “Margaritaville — will open in Daytona Beach later this year and is aimed at “those looking to live the Margaritaville lifestyle as they grow older, but not up,” according to a press statement.

Current plans for the village include a fitness center, and food & drinks from Margaritaville-branded restaurants all  ocated within walkable beach-side neighborhoods.

The property will join Buffett’s existing constellation of restaurants, hotels, casinos, resorts and vacation clubs.

Construction has reportedly already begun and is expected to be completed in the fall.
