In a continuing shakeup of its executive suite, Def Jam Recordings announced the hiring of Scott Greer to serve as Executive Vice President of Marketing & Commerce. In his new role, Greer will oversee the company’s marketing, digital, commerce, branding and creative content initiatives, effective immediately, the label said.
Greer’s resume includes a six-year tenure as the Senior Vice President of Marketing for Columbia Records and most recently three years as Executive Vice President of the Capitol Music Group, as well as collaborations with artists such as Beyonce, Katy Perry, Dat Punk, John Legend and Beck.
The addition of Greer to the Def Jam team follows the announcement earlier this month that Paul Rosenberg had been appointed CEO at the iconic record label. – via Celebrity Access
