Those wishing they could time travel back to the ’90s lately can take an audio trip back with a new vinyl reissue of the classic, Rhythm, Country and Blues, set for release on Feb. 19, 2021.
MCA Nashville/UMe will release a new vinyl version of the album, which was produced by Tony Brown and Don Was and was originally released on March 1, 1994. The project, featuring iconic country and R&B artists performing duets of some of the most classic songs of all time, included collaborations by Reba McEntire and Natalie Cole, Vince Gill and Gladys Knight, Sam Moore and Conway Twitty. Rhythm, Country and Blues peaked at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Country Albums and No. 15 on Billboard’s Top R&B/Hip Hop Albums charts when it was originally released. The Platinum-selling album has never before been released on vinyl.
