Rapper Kodak Black was arrested after a guest posted videos to social media that appear to show people handling marijuana and a handgun around an infant at his home near Miami.
According to ABC News, the Broward County Sheriff Office reported that deputies arrested the 20-year-old rapper, whose real name is Dieuson Octave, after executing a search warrant at his Pembroke Pines home on Thursday.
He faces charges of grand theft of a firearm, possession of marijuana, child neglect, and two counts of possession of a weapon by a felon, per the Miami Herald.
Octave was held without bond during an arraignment on Friday because he was on probation from a previous legal entanglement in 2016, the Miami Herald reported. He has had numerous run-ins with the law and faced criminal charges ranging from drug and weapon possession to sexual assault and has been jailed several times in the past year on probation violations.
Black is best known for his 2017 album “Painting Pictures” which peaked at #3 on the Billboard 200; and for five mixtapes, including “Project Baby 2” (2017) which included features from rappers XXXTentacion, Offset, John Wicks and JackBoy.
