Music marketers Crowd Surf has added Sarah Gaupel and Emily Bowman as Marketing Account Managers in the LA office. Gaupel worked as a Digital Marketing Specialist at Fearless Record and Bowman joins from Bkstg where she was a Community Manager.

• Big Deal Music Group has entered into a long-term worldwide administration agreement with Sounds of Memphis/XL Records to represent their publishing catalog and masters. Established in 1964 by Gene Lucchesi, XL’s initial breakout hit, Sam the Sham & The Pharaoh’s “Wooly Bully,” sold millions.
• Steel Wool Entertainment has signed an agreement with SM Entertainment for the U.S. management of K-Pop superstar Amber Liu. Liu, a Taiwanese American and one of the most-influential stars in Asia, will be managed by Steel Wool’s Kevin Morrow.
• Downtown Music Publishing has announced a partnership with Booker T. Jones in a multi-faceted deal that covers the renowned multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, record producer, and arranger’s music publishing interests.
Under the terms of the agreement, Downtown has acquired Jones’s interest in all of his biggest hits, including the iconic “Green Onions,” which was written and recorded by Booker T. & The M.G.’s. The single is listed as one of Rolling Stone magazine’s Greatest Songs of All Time, earned a Grammy Hall of Fame award in 1999, and was inducted into the Blues Hall of Fame in 2018.
