Priscilla Block has been named the Opry Nextstage featured artist for November. She joins prior 2021 Opry NextStage artists Hailey Whitters, Parker McCollum, Lainey Wilson, Niko Moon and Yola.
Block’s honest and upfront approach promotes self-love, empowerment, and acceptance through her country pop and southern rock. In early 2020, Block began experimenting on TikTok and quickly developed a rabid fanbase with songs like “Thick Thighs,” “PMS” and “Just About Over You.”
Fans independently funded her recording and since then, “Just About Over You” has peaked both the iTunes Country and All-Genre song charts, the song was named one of The New York Times Best Songs of 2020, and it is now top 15 on the country radio charts.
“I am so honored to get to continue my journey with this new Opry chapter,” says Block. “I am forever grateful for their foundation to country music, the fact that I have their support is more than I could ever wish for. I am pinching myself that I am getting to join this year’s class of talented people, many of whom I have been a fan of for the last few years.”
Named a 2021 Artist to Watch by Amazon Music, Pandora, Spotify, CMT, The Boot, MusicRow, Sounds Like Nashville, and more, Block is set to hit the Opry stage for the first-ever Opry NextStage Live in Concert show on Nov. 21. The special evening will feature performances by Block, Travis Denning, Parker McCollum, Niko Moon, Tenille Townes, Hailey Whitters and Lainey Wilson.
Opportunities for Opry NextStage artists include feature performances on the Grand Ole Opry and Circle’s Opry Live broadcast and livestream; a performance at a special Opry NextStage concert in 2021; content produced by Opry Entertainment’s award-winning content team that utilizes all Opry Entertainment venues including Nashville’s historic Ryman Auditorium and Ole Red locations nationwide; exclusive content to be distributed via Circle broadcast, streaming, and video-on demand channels; customized marketing and promotion activations utilizing Opry web and social assets; and other opportunities such as outdoor advertising, 650 WSM-AM radio specials, and more.
