Read on for more of the leaders, newbies, and climbers from this week’s Pandora Top Spins Chart.
The Leaders
Migos’ continues to lead the pack this week with “Bad and Boujee,” which is seeing close to 10 million weekly spins. And it isn’t the only song off their sophomore album, Culture, that’s killing it. “T-Shirt” rises from #27 to #13 this week, while “Slippery” sticks at #41.
Drake’s “Fake Love” and Ed Sheeran’s “Shape of You” follow at #2 and #3, respectively, while Big Sean’s “Bounce Back” jumps to #4 after a seeing a 32.1% lift in spins week-on-week. Zayn and Taylor Swift’s Fifty Shades Darker track, “I Don’t Wanna Live Forever,” rounds out the top 5.
And Maroon 5’s “Cold”— featuring Atlanta rapper Future — reaches the top 10 in its first week on the chart. The song is already seeing over 3.7 million spins and 110,000 thumbs up weekly. The group’s previous single, “Don’t Wanna Know (Feat. Kendrick Lamar),” entered the chart at #24 and went on to peak at #5, so there’s no telling how far it will go.
The Newbies
Congratulations are in order for Post Malone. After the success of “Deja Vu,” his collaboration with Justin Bieber, the “White Iverson” rapper is doing it all over again with “Congratulations.” The song, which finds him linking up with Migos member Quavo, enters the chart at #55.
As “Shape of You” takes shape at #3, an acoustic version of Ed Sheeran’s tropical house-inspired single debuts at #63 with over 1.2 million weekly spins. And “Believer,” the latest single from Imagine Dragons, enters the chart at #79, five spots ahead of “Rent Money,” the standout single off Future’s new self-titled album. (Future makes four appearances on the chart this week, by the way.)
And two artists are making their first-ever Top Spins appearances this week. Singer-songwriter Alina Baraz debuts with “Electric,” which features buzzy R&B singer Khalid. And Toronto rapper Nav — who debuted last week on our Predictions Chart — enters with “Some Way” featuring the Weeknd. “Some Way” debuts at #94 after seeing a 758.9% week-on-week lift in spins. The spike coincides with a 85.2% increase in artist station adds, a 234.8% increase in track station adds, and a 550.1% increase in week-on-week.
Sneaking in at the bottom of the chart are “El Amante” from reggaeton artist Nicky Jam (#95) and “Die For You,” which the latest song off The Weeknd’s third studio album, Starboy, to hit the chart.
The Climbers
Louis Tomlinson is not taking his time in launching his post-One Direction solo career. “Just Hold On,”his collaboration with Steve Aoki, jumps up 18 spots this week to #34 after seeing a 21.15% week-on-week lift in spins. Similarly, country singer Sam Hunt saw a 16.90% week-on-week increase in spins for his new single “Body Like A Back Road,” which jumps 17 spots this week to #38.
And West Coast rapper KYLE continues his rapid rise this week as “iSpy,” his collaboration with Lil Yachty, climbs 30 spots. And “Siempre Te Voy A Querer,” from regional Mexican band Calibre, jumps from #81 to #58 — an impressive showing for a Latin song.
Elsewhere, country star Brett Young’s latest single, “In Case You Didn’t Know” climbs 23 spots, while the “God, Your Mama, And Me,” — the unlikely collaboration between Backstreet Boys and Florida Georgia Line — jumps from #91 to #75.
