Good news to all aspiring rappers – an opportunity for MAJOR SoundCloud publicity has just recently opened up. Famous rappers Lil Yachty and Zaytoven the producer have just launched a two part contest in hopes to find collaborators for some of their upcoming music.
AXE Body Spray has just recently partnered with SoundCloud, Lil Yachty, and Zaytoven to create a brand new record label associated with the company. A total of three rappers and seven producers will get the opportunity to collaborate with these two celebrities in a two part competition. Click here for all the official info!
Phase 1
In the first phase of the competition, applicants are able to submit their best lyrics into SoundCloud’s commenting feature for Lil Yachty’s unreleased single “Anarchy”. The artist with the winning hook will then earn limited time songwriting credits on the finalized track. Unfortunately the chosen songwriter won’t be able to collect on the song itself but instead will receive an upfront cash prize. Still, this part of the competition presents a good opportunity for mass exposure by getting your name attached to a song that will receive great attention. Also, feel free to check out Yachty’s official announcement on the competition to get a better feel for this part of the competition. This phase runs from October 1st to October 28th, so make sure to submit your lyrics asap!
Phase 2
In phase two of the competition, which runs from October 29th to November 16th, Zaytoven is looking for two rappers and seven producers to collaborate with on a featured playlist. Zaytoven will be releasing two instrumental tracks for contestants to rap over, and from there the famous producer will be choosing a winner for each track. Other producers will also be able to enter the competition by using the stem packs from each song to make completely new instrumentals. A total of seven producers will then be chosen to appear on a SoundCloud playlist owned by AXE, presenting yet another great opportunity for exposure. Make sure to stay tuned for the launch of phase 2!
