Rising country artist Kidd G will release his debut album, Down Home Boy, on Sept. 24. As a teaser for the upcoming project, “Whiskey & Wine,” written by Kidd G, Bonnie Dymond, Christopher Luc Nyhus, and Dantavius Walker, is available now.
Co-writing each track on the 14-song project, Kidd G displays his southern roots and relatable lyrics with recently released “Summer In A Small Town” and “Paper Hearts (F-150).”
“I’m extremely excited about the release of my first album,” says Kidd G. “Each song tells a story. I wanted it to be well-rounded, fun and relatable and give the opportunity to show people who I am. I grew up listening to a wide range of music, everything from Jason Aldean, to Tupac and Juice WRLD, and those different influences come across in my songs. As an artist, I always want to be genuine and in the moment and I think people will feel that in this album.”
Kidd G will also embark on the “Down Home Boy Tour” alongside Spencer Crandall. Kicking off in Houston this fall and ending at the Gramercy Theatre in New York, the seven stops mark the 18-year-olds first headlining shows since his 2020 viral hit “Dirt Road.” For a full list of shows and ticket information, click here.
