Musicians network Jammcard is expanding from Los Angeles to Atlanta, Georgia. Tyhe rapidly growing musicians organization is launching there on June 25.
Founded by drummer and musical director Elmo Lovano, Jammcard connects the community by way of localized events and a private online social network, but mass collaborations are really what they do best. Most recently Jammcard had more than 25 performing members at Bonnaroo with Eminem, Future, The Killers, Dua Lipa, and Khalid, in addition to more than 70 members at this year’s Coachella.
“Building Jammcard in Los Angeles exceeded our expectations and continues to be fulfilling every day,” shares Lovano. “Atlanta is a powerhouse of musical talent and I’m excited to do whatever we can to contribute and build the community even stronger by extending our network in such a historic music city.”
To celebrate launch day in Atlanta, Jammcard will hold one of their legendary ‘JammJam‘ events (a reoccurring gathering for some of today’s greatest musicians to network, vibe, improvise, and most importantly…jam), featuring Trap Jazz royalty Cassius Jay (Migos, Future, Cardi B), Devon “Stixx” Taylor (Justin Bieber, PARTYNEXTDOOR) and Chris Moten (D.R.A.M., Bebe Rexha).
Past sessions have featured the bands of Prince, Stevie Wonder, Beyoncé, and Michael Jackson, and included a takeover of Tower Records, a Trap Jazz session featuring artists from the bands of Migos, Future, Young Thug and Justin Bieber, a night celebrating women in music with Judith Hill, and most recently a Capitol Records takeover with Ty Dolla $ign.
