For our final year students, the real world of work is starting to loom and all of us who have come out of the other side of our studies know how daunting it can seem. It needn’t be so, however, and a little guidance and inspiration go a long way in changing this perception. With that thought and our ongoing commitment to our students’ professional development in mind, we have organised a free session with the founder of management company Ferocious Talent, Kwame Kwaten. If you are in your final year of any of our accredited higher education courses (Degrees and Diplomas) then you are eligible to attend for free, just contact Briony to register your interest. Read on for more information.
About Ferocious Talent
Ferocious Talent is the brainchild of Kwame Kwaten who has enjoyed a long and successful career in the music industry, with some great achievements as a creative force as well as a manager and large-scale event founder. In his career as a musician and producer, he had a #1 in the dance chart with his band D Influence, also signing to Atlantic Records. Their album was shortlisted for a Mercury Prize and they went on tour with the likes of Michael Jackson, Prince, and James Brown.
Kwame has had big success developing other artists and played a key part in Shola Ama’s successful career, with her first No1 album signed to their label and going on to sell over a million copies worldwide. Kwame joined ATC Management in 2006 and since worked with Rumer and Laura Mvula. He still works in partnership with ATC now and has his own management company Ferocious Talent. On the events side of things, Kwame set up the Urban Music Seminar, which today goes by the name The Ultimate Seminar.
This wide-ranging involvement in the music industry means that Kwame has a wealth of experience and knowledge to draw upon when developing our students. Having experienced life as a successful artist as well as a manager, he is able to impart invaluable advice to help kickstart your career.
