Facebook if flat. As part of a Q3 earning report, the social network shared that the number of daily active users in US and Canada remained flat at 185 million. In the EU, users actually fell from 279 million to 278 million.
The latter likely came because of new EU privacy regulations which caused Facebook to lose 1 million monthly active users after it went into effect in May.
Perhaps Facebook’s new music initiatives will help with a turnaround.
Users down in Europe, flat in U.S./Canada, the company’s most lucrative advertising markets.
Wall St. so far isn’t too alarmed. They knew this was coming. pic.twitter.com/rRJvnhBtuG— Sarah Frier (@sarahfrier) October 30, 2018
