Executive Shuffle: Sony/ATV, Republic Records, iHeart Media...

The latest executive shuffles across the music industry…

Sony/ATV has promoted David Ventura to become the sole Head of UK A&R as Janice Brock resigns. Both Brock and Ventura were elevated to joint Head of A&R of Sony/ATV, UK last year. Now that Brock has resigned, Ventura will continue to perform his role, whilst taking on the responsibilities that Brock managed.

Republic Records has hired Dan Cohen as Vice President of Marketing. Prior to his role with Republic, Cohen spent three years working as Vice President of Marketing for Caroline.  In his new role, Cohen will be responsible for managing the marketing of artists signed to the label.

National Music Publishers’ Association (NMPA) has welcomed Warner/Chappell Music’s CEO and Chairman Jon Platt to their Board of Directors.

Jockey Club Live has hired Nicky Dunn OBE as Chairman. Dunn will head the board of Jockey Club Live and assumes her new role with immediate effect.

WeTransfer has hired Gilles Peterson as Creative Director. In his new role Peterson will be responsible for strategizing the editorial and marketing projects, building new partnerships and curating events. Peterson will work with the company’s  CMO Damian Bradfield.

iHeartMedia has hired Dan Mason as Senior Advisor for Broadcast Relations. Mason will report to CEO and Chairman Bob Pittman and President, COO and CFO Rich Bressler. In his new role, Mason will be responsible for advising and consulting both Pittman and Bressler on any issues that directly affect iHeart Media and the broadcast radio industry.
