Hospital bound nine-year-old Rett syndrome patient Melody Driscol, got a little melodic medicine when she received a one-on-one concert with her favorite singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran.
According to Rare Disease Report, Driscol has been battling Rett syndrome, a rare genetic brain disorder that affects development that she was diagnosed with at just 16-months old.
When the British musician found out that Driscol was a big fan and stuck in the hospital, he decided to pay her a visit, performing a mini-concert for the girl with her own pink ukulele.
Rett syndrome is a rare non-inherited genetic postnatal neurological disorder that occurs almost exclusively in girls and leads to severe impairments in their ability to speak, walk, eat and even breathe easily.
