At Point Blank, we know how important it is to gain hands-on experience in order to build a successful career in the industry and if you choose to study with us we’ll ensure the best opportunities will come your way, whether your focus is on DJing, music production or live performance.
Once again we’re collaborating with London house and techno night RESET to bring our students and graduates an exclusive DJ opportunity, playing at DJ Mag’s Work Bar. If selected, you’ll join Point Blank x Pioneer DJ Accelerator representative Gabby Gunn on a special Point Blank line-up for the event. To apply, submit your best house mix to Louis with the subject heading ‘RESET DJ’. It can be tech house, funky house, deep house or some other variant – as long as you win us over with your mixing skills and selections, you’re in.
The event will be live streamed across Point Blank’s channels – the kind of high-profile exposure that will put you in front of tastemakers, promoters and label heads, while giving you some real world experience in a live club setting. If you want to be considered, make sure you submit your mix to Louis before April 9th, when the line-up will be finalised.
Do you want to enter this competition and others like it, but your skills not quite up to par just yet? You need to sign yourself up to one of our DJ courses. Point Blank’s DJ Studio at Orsman Road is sponsored by Pioneer DJ and features all of the latest top-of-the-range kit – including CDJ2000nxs, DJM2000nxs and the DDJ-SX controller – meaning by the time you leave us, you’ll be club-ready. You can find out more about our DJ courses in London here, and even book a studio tour of our Orsman Road complex here.
