Bandsintown Produces SXSW’s First Data Driven Showcase

Big Break SXSW[UPDATED] Concert discovery platform Bandsintown is producing its first ever showcase at SXSW. Dubbed the music conference’s first ever data driven showcase, participating artists were chosen from Bandintown’s Big Break program made up of touring acts that have grown from 100 to 5,000 or more followers on the platform in last 6 months.  

“We know how hard it is for developing acts to reach the next level, and we’re passionate about helping them to achieve this milestone,” said Bandsintown co-managing partner Fabrice Sergent when the Big Break launched late last year. 

BandsInTownSo, during SXSW on Wednesday, March 14th at Javelina in Austin, Bandsintown is showcasing alt-rock trio, FOXTRAX, synth-pop crusaders, Sisters, ‘chewed bubblegum pop’ four piece Peach Pit, rising punk visionary Sneaks, and experimental pop duo, The Lagoons.
