Spotify announced via a tweet that it now has 70 million paid subscribers. That’s up from 60 million during the summer. In June, Spotify reported 140 million combined paid and free users; and while that total has certainly grown, it would appear that the streamer’s ratio of paid to free users is improving, as well. Perhaps the streamer hoped to make more of the milestone, given its new $1.6 billion legal challenge and just filed public stock offering.
