New evidence suggests that alleged gunman accused of killing 58 people at a country music festival in Las Vegas on October 1st may have been planning a similar attack on the Life is Beautiful festival.
According to ABC News, an official stated that the alleged gunman Stephen Paddock, was looking into renting a room at The Ogden, a 21-story luxury condominium tower that overlooks the Life is Beautiful festival grounds, in Downtown Las Vegas.
It is not clear if the attack was thwarted in some way, or if it was intended as a dry run before his attack on the Route 91 Harvest festival, or if Paddock just wanted a room in the building.
The Life is Beautiful Festival took place over three days in late September and was approximately twice the size of the Route 91 Harvest Festival, with more than 50,000 fans in attendance. The event was headlined by Lorde, The Gorillaz and Blink-182.
