BMG’s production music division has acquired Immediate Music, a leading U.S. independent production music team working in motion picture advertising and trailers; and sister company 1 Revolution Music, a television music catalog.
Details of the deal were not disclosed. The announcement comes just two weeks after BMGPM’s acquisition of French production music company AXS Music.
Co-founded in 1993 by Emmy Award-winning composers and producers Yoav Goren and Jeffrey Fayman, Immediate Music is a top Hollywood producer of original music for motion picture advertising, trailers, commercials and television programs. Having created and licensed music for over 4,000 film campaigns to date, Immediate’s unique cinematic style helped pioneer and define the “epic music” genre so prevalently heard in modern film trailers today.
Some of Immediate Music’s recent high-profile trailer campaign credits include Blade Runner 2049, Wonder Woman, War For The Planet Of The Apes, Beauty And The Beast, Arrival and Star Wars: Rogue One; alongside memorable advertising campaigns for blockbuster movie franchises include Harry Potter, X-Men, Spiderman, The Da Vinci Code, Pirates Of The Caribbean, Hunger Games, Batman, Twilight, Transformers, Lord of the Rings and Narnia.
Immediate’s commercial music has been used in international advertising campaigns for Chrysler, Nike, Coca-Cola, Verizon, McDonalds, Axe, Toyota, Ford and Hitachi. Immediate’s TV series and program music has been recently featured in highly acclaimed shows such as Stranger Things, The Leftovers, The Man In The High Castle and Narcos.
Geert-Willem Koolhof, BMG Production Music worldwide Managing Director, said, “Production music is one of the fastest growing segments in the industry and BMGPM continues to strengthen and develop the most competitive team in the marketplace.”
